About
EURe is Monerium’s regulated euro e-money token, fully backed in safeguarded accounts and connected to SEPA through personal IBANs.
Monerium was founded in Iceland in 2015 by a team spanning central banking, regulation, finance, cloud infrastructure, and crypto. After several years of research and policy work, it received an electronic money institution license in 2019—the first designed for issuing e-money on blockchains—and built onchain fiat products including EURe.
