About

USD1 is World Liberty Financial’s dollar stablecoin, issued and custodied by BitGo and backed by cash and short-term US government assets.

BitGo was founded in 2013 with an emphasis on digital-asset security, then built custody, wallet, and settlement infrastructure for institutional clients. Its US trust company later converted into an OCC-chartered national trust bank, and that entity is the current listed issuer and custodian for USD1.
